Segovia
...87 km north-west of Madrid
Although Segovia has the ambiance of a small village, it houses some of the largest architectual monuments in Spain. A massive Roman aqueduct that crosses the main entrance to the city, the Royal Alcazar Castle whose archetectual design conjures up images of fairy talkes and dragons, and the gothic cathedral are some of the sites you can visit all in one day.
How to get there?
To get to Segovia, take a train from Atocha station or a bus from Paseo de la Florida. By car, take highway N-V1 north-west of Madrid.
